This listing is for the Seven Sorrows of Mary pieces. You do not pick a crucifix for a Seven Sorrows chaplet, just beads, Seven Sorrows medal set, and chain. The large medal with the crucifix features Our Lady of Sorrows on the other side, as do all the smaller medals. Choose from silver tone or gold tone metal.

A seven sorrows chaplet features beads in sets of seven, and we meditate on one of Mary’s Seven Sorrows on each set of beads. Like a traditional rosary, you pray a Hail Mary on each bead.

The Seven Sorrows of Mary are:

The prophecy of Simeon. (St. Luke 2:34, 35)

The flight into Egypt. (St. Matthew 2:13, 14)

The loss of the Child Jesus in the temple. (St. Luke 2: 43-45)

The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross.

The Crucifixion.

The taking down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross.

The burial of Jesus.
